Exchange student accom/sharehousing
Hello, myself and two others are coming from Australia for uni exchange at the University of Sheffield for the Autumn semester (mid-Sept to early Feb).
We've had a look at university halls, but they are a bit expensive so are looking at some other options too. We want to look into sharehouses in an area like Broomhill or Crookesmoor, but I can't find any 3-5 bedroom houses that offer a ~20-week contract. Most either don't seem to offer a 3-5 bedroom house or don't offer for the period we are staying.
It seems to be different to how Australia operate their accommodation so if someone could maybe summarise how uni accom in general works in the UK that would be helpful. Would also be happy to look into filling a larger 5 bed house if we can find 1-2 more people, or vice versa if there is a 5 bedder with some open spots.
What are the best websites to use as well?
