Met a restaurant owner in Jomtien today. Her situation honestly broke me.
I normally never post things like this, but I felt this deserved some attention.
There’s a small local restaurant in Jomtien, Pattaya called “You order, I make! Thai Food” on Soi Jomtien 12.
I’ve been there multiple times and recently got to know the owner a bit better. She’s 58 years old, running the place alone while also taking care of her mother who is over 90 years old and sick. Medical costs and daily survival have become too much for her to handle.
The restaurant has apparently existed for more than 5 years, but business has become very difficult. She’s trying to keep the place running completely alone — cooking, cleaning, organizing supplies, everything.
A few days ago she broke down crying in my arms because she literally had no money left for food.
This is not some tourist scam story or organized fundraiser. I’m just someone who met a person in a genuinely bad situation and wanted to help somehow.
The food is actually good, prices are low, and the place is real:

If any locals, expats, or travelers in Pattaya are nearby, maybe consider eating there sometime or helping in some way.
Even small support probably goes a long way for her right now.
And before anyone asks — yes, I already did my part privately and helped her as much as I personally could. I’m only posting this because one person alone can’t realistically carry a situation like this forever.
