So I swapped this motor in a parking lot with my brother and we finally got everything back in the car now. We've been trying to diagnose a no start for a couple hours now and eventually got the fuel system bled and fuel shooting out the injector lines when cracked. Even after getting fuel now, she still doesn't want to start. Anyone got any idea where to start?
Edit. I also noticed that the radio in the car isn't working, could there be some connection there?
Edit 2. It ended up starting with a shot of ether and stayed running. I took it for a tiny spin up the road and she isn't exactly happy. It snapped the lower transmission brace (the little 2 piece nub). When I shut it off and tried to restart, it didn't start on its own but it did again with ether. I should also note that it is a manual car with an automatic motor so it's running the smaller injectors and larger fuel pump.
2003 Jetta TDI 5 speed with over 430,000km and the ending seized so I picked up a wrecked automatic to swap motors. Pulled the motors with the tractor and I refreshed the newer auto motor. I also made some EGR block off plates and plan to leave the valve in place with the asv still hooked up. It also has the 11mm pump but with the smaller auto injectors for now until I figure out how to pull them. Haven't torn the seized motor down yet as I'm trying to finish the swap first but I found my first clue today. I pulled the exhaust manifold on my old motor cuz I snapped a stud pulling the EGR cooler off and I found what appears to be part of a valve inside the exhaust manifold. A few other pieces also fell out, one was a small piece of maybe a 1 or 2 mm rod that came to a point.
