Please help roomate issues
Ok i live in student housing. We have 4 people in our unit, each of us have a private bathroom and bedroom but we share the common areas like kitchen and living room.
Of the three other people who live in my apartment 2 are clean and one is not. The one who isnt should be classified as messy. They are downright disgusting. Absolutely horrible. They leave rice in their rice cooker on the counter until it has completely molded. They left red meat in the fridge until it turned green and one of my other roomates finally got up the courage to throw it away. They've left their dish drying rack on a towel for almost a year and it has splashes of what looks to be black mold. Not to mention their dishes just sit in that same dish rack 100% of the time. And even after they "clean" them they look bad.
They are also the only ones who leave piles of their cooking ingredients and dishes all over the counters.
They dump food in the sink and dont clean it out. Drop food on the floor and dont sweep it up.
The inside of our microwave was orange and red. It took me three rounds of microwaving water and scrubbing with a scrub daddy to get the inside back to white. Not to mention papertowels literally caked and stuck to the inside plate.
I have pictures of most of these things. And we have tried talking to him multiple times to no avail. Eventually we started finding signs of bugs in the apartment including what appears to have been a dead roach and a dried out roach egg. We reported it to the apsrtment and they didnt even come in and treat the apartment. They actually canceled the first report and I had to re-report it. I never saw them treat it but they claim to have.
Is there any chance that by taking this information to the apartment we can get this person removed from the unit? Or am i stuck cleaning up after this person for the next year of my life? (I dont have the choice to move roght now.)
