Seeking the ultimate Uni/EDC backpack under €200
Im Torn between Osprey, Patagonia, Fjallraven & Thule.
Hey everyone,
I’m in the market for a new daily driver and could really use some expert advice. I'm a medical student, which means my daily carry gets pretty heavy. I'm usually hauling around a laptop, a textbook, chargers, a water bottle, and my medical gear.
I need a bag that excels as an organized campus carry, but is versatile and rugged enough to double as a daypack for those aucasional escapes into nature.
My Core Criteria:
Budget: Strictly under €200.
Capacity: Looking for that 24L - 28L sweet spot.
Comfort: Needs a great suspension/harness system to handle heavy books without killing my shoulders.
I’ve done some digging and narrowed it down to a few strong contenders. Here is my current shortlist:
Fjallraven Skule ~€108. 28L
Osprey Quasar ~€105. 26L
Patagonia Refugio ~€100. 26L
Thule Enroute ~€94. 26L
Osprey Axis ~€97. 24L
My questions for you all:
Comfort under load: Has anyone used these specific bags for heavy uni carries? How is the harness system and back panel breathability on long days?
(Most importantly) Alternatives: Are there any other hidden gems in this size/price bracket that I’m completely missing?
