For context I’ve recently shifted to a full time consultant role, working as a Software Engineer. The place where I’m working ask me to submit a GSTIN Invoice. I applied around mid May and I heard back on last Monday. Now the thing is that my parents are employed in Delhi University so the accommodation we’re given comes under staff quarters. There’s no rental agreement or something, it’s where we’ve been living for past 20 years now. The notice I received was related to lack of rental agreement and all. Even the electricity bill we pay is on the name of the Engineer’s Office in Delhi University.

What are my options here? I really do not want to go through the bribe route.
