I joined a company as an apprentice. During the interview, they told me flexible lang daw yong work sched. Since I have evening classes, I requested if would it be possible if yong training hours ko ay mag end ng 3pm. Pumayag naman sila, and naka stipulate yon sa contract ko and kung magkano ang rate. First and second payroll periods, tama lang yong pay ko. na fulfill kung anong nakasulat talaga sa contract. However, during the third payroll period, I was confused kasi they suddenly imposed deductions on my pay. When I inquired, they told me undertime deductions were applied daw because my 3 PM shift was treated as incomplete working hours. sinabi rin nila na yong previous full payments ay administrative oversight daw and now they’re correcting it.

I felt really frustrated kasi it was explicitly agreed upon before I even signed anything. Paano naging undertime yun if yun mismo ang stipulated working hours ko? Had I known na may condition pala yong flexible working hours nila hindi ko na sana tinanggap yong offer in the first place. Now I inquired DOLE about this, they advised me to file a complaint sa SENA raw but napakatagal pa ng process. Hays. Should I pursue it? is it still worth the trouble?
