Full house reviewed blog: Thoughts on him, the episode, and blog itself

So I know, Jodie and Andrea interviewed Ryan who made the hate blog so clearly they didn’t care that much, but I was just thinking. Since he felt very comfortable showing his face after he called Michelle ugly on the blog, I’m just wondering, how will he feel if people start commenting things about his baby? Is it OK because he’s not famous or what? Is he gonna do the “It was a long time ago” excuse? What’s funny is that a lot of people didn’t even point this out. Most people were in the comments were talking about how he sexualized Becky and Jodie as a joke or how it seemed like they did not read the full blog before inviting him. Again, I know it’s an older blog and it’s a dirty joke and a lot of people actually like the blog (I laughed at a few things too), but I just thought this was a bit ironic. Also, I noticed that he said something like “I’m kind of sensitive.” I’m like, “Clearly not at the time when you made that blog, but OK.” 🤷 I just wanna know if I’m missing something? Cause I’ve always thought babies/kids looks were off-limits unless somebody talks about yours first. Even in 2016. This isn’t really a structured post, more like a rant. You can call me sensitive. I’ll admit it. Yeah, this part make me a bit sensitive.

Pam Should've Haunted the Narrative

As the title suggests. Pam wasn't nearly talked about enough in the series. In the first two seasons sure, because her death was still fresh. But, it feels like they forgot about her unless it's convenient to the plot, like Stephanie dreading the honeybee sleepover, DJ worried about Kimmy driving drunk, and Michelle wishing she had a mother.

Pam should've bene in way more conversations, like when Danny gets engaged to Vicky, Jesse gets married and has the twins, and especially when Stephanie goes on that wild joy ride with Gia. We don't know yet (until the next episode with the frat party) that she died because of a drunk driver, but we do know she died in a car accident. It would've been the perfect opportunity for DJ to talk about why she was being so protective.

The Papouli thing still bugs me. He was Pam's grandfather, too. He becomes very close to Michelle, and yet, never comments on her mother? No wonder Michelle can't remember anything about Pam; they barely took the time to talk to her.

I also just wanted little moments. Like Jesse talking to Becky about her. In Fuller House, they name their adopted baby after Pam, and we're supposed to fill in the gaps. I'm not saying it had to be deeply moving; just him telling Becky about his sister. Or even Jesse reflecting on Pam when inheriting the Smash Club, which was obviously a huge place for his musical journey.

Also what was Kimmy's relationship to Pam? Did she think of her as pest, or did she make Kimmy feel loved and welcomed?

Anyway, given the premise of the series, it really made no sense for Pam not to be mentioned more.

😆 Is it just me, or does it seem like Bob was genuinely starting to get annoyed with Mary-Kate and/or Ashley in this shot? It's hilarious. 😆

Is there something more to Uncle Jesse than what we already know?

I came across a clip of the Charles episode on Facebook and I’m reminded of how involved Uncle Jesse because whenever one of the adults get involved it’s because of some sort of connection they have on the topic. It’s like how come it was Uncle Jesse and not Danny to deal with the Charles situation? Remembering the later seasons on how he wouldn’t really discipline Nicky and Alex that much I’m wondering if it’s because of his dad Nick? There were moments in earlier seasons when Jesse would briefly mentioned how he would get in trouble and disciplined growing up (no mention of hitting or spanking of course). Also we’ve seen Nick’s behavior and anger in the episodes when they were fogged in and when Jesse decided to quit the family extermination business and disowned him on the spot. Maybe it’s not fair to assume about Nick but does anyone think Jesse experienced his own form of abuse by Nick?

Found my DVD collection

I am early Gen Z but I was a huge fan of the show growing up watching it on TV. When the different seasons started releasing on DVD from around 2005 to 2007, I made it a goal to collect them all and eventually did. Some I got online and some were from stores, although I cannot remember exactly where anymore. Also ignore the red coloring in some lol.

What’s the most G-rated episode (fit for a 4 year old)?

I just started watching this series through while breastfeeding my youngest at night. I’ve always caught it in syndication so it’s nice to get to know the whole show. My older (4 year old) son asked what I was watching, and since then he remembers and says “is that Full House?” when he sees it on. He especially loves it when he catches the Golden Gate Bridge on the screen. I’ll pause it when he’s with me, we’ll all do story time on the couch, and then I’ll tune back in when he and his dad leave to get him into bed.

I’d love to invite him to stay up late on a weekend and watch a whole episode, but it’s amazing how even the most wholesome show like Full House is suddenly full of teen/adult humor or situations when you are looking at it with these lenses! Even excess “have mercy” kissin’ would be a lot for a 4 year old boy!

That all said, sound off! What do you think is the most wholesome G-rated episode of the series that a 4 year old boy might enjoy watching?

*EDIT- I of course know this is a G-rated show. But sometimes it deals with issues like death, divorce, adult relationship issues or “hot woman” tropes, and I’d just prefer to pick a different one for my little guy. This isnt me saying Full House isn’t wholesome, this is more me wondering if anyone’s show knowledge is so good you can point me to an episode that is all smiles and doesn’t have those topics in it.

Plot hole’s in full house

In the early seasons of full house Jesse and Joey(college graduate) worked at the ad agency.

In a later season you find out Jesse was a HS dropout.

Are ad agency’s hiring high school dropouts?

If Danny is such a neat freak why does he let everyone wear shoes in the house?

Should make them wear slippers or something

do yall ever think Joey is treated like a side character to the main characters just based off episode storylines?

Joey barely gets episodes where he’s the main concern of the episode but everybody else gets their own. Joey has good moments, yes, but it just seems as it’s not near as much as it should be. Just feels like he’s a bit of an accessorie for a longer episode or something. I love joe though

Theories about the Olsen twins interview feel exaggerated

I keep seeing that 2010 Mary-Kate and Ashley interview with Ellen resurfacing where Ashley mentions one of her earliest memories on the show was being in the shower with Dave, and now people are making all these theories out of it and saying Ellen switched the subject fast. Maybe it is just me, but I honestly did not think anything deep of it. The first thing that came to mind was that scene with Joey and Jesse trying to bathe Michelle for the first time. I feel like actual fans of the show would immediately know what she was probably referring to. To a point I guess I can see it from an outsider perspective but people keep taking that out of context and now they are even doing the same thing with Bob over the bathtub scene with Danny, Nicky, and Alex.

Has anyone had a real life full house experience? Read whole post please

What I mean by asking if anyone has had a Real life full house experience, meaning that a young parent/spouse unexpectedly and tragically dies, and to help out the remaining parent/spouse with raising the kids and keeping the house together, a few relatives (like uncle Jesse) and/or really good family friends (like Joey) move into the newly mourning house to become a really good team, loving house and support system? Even with occasional quirks and mishaps,

Sorry if my paragraph is all jumbled but you get my point and question. I’d love to hear your stories.

And how did that younger spouse or parent die in your household also (if you don’t mind me asking)?

Wow didn’t realize how racy in comparison the jokes in season 1 are compared to the rest of the seasons!

Only on episode 3. (Rewatching season 1 first time since I was a kid practically. I’m 41 now fyi) Jokes about strippers, losing virginity, Jesse trying to have a girl over for the night etc.

Obviously tame next to adult sitcoms today but definitely racy by abc tgif full house standards.

I’m guessing the first half of season 1 wanted to be bachelor humor centric somewhat and was trying to blur the line/ test the waters between adult dude humor sitcom and family sitcom…….from what I hear by the second half of season 1 seemed to have transitioned more towards wholesome family sitcom and by season 2 was fully family friendly.

What are your takes and observations?
