I am planning on applying this cycle and I currently have two manuscripts that are written for publication. However, due to the lab I am in, there is a little bit of back log to submit and it is not even guaranteed that these will be published if I start in 2027. However I am hoping to at least submit but am unsure when. Is it okay/good idea to put that on my list of activities or does that sound a little desperate in the sense that I am trying to make it something that it isn't yet?

I am proud of these and can talk about them but don't want to make them seem more than what they are yet
