Babies!!!

I posted for the first time on this sub last week, and this morning my piggy Chanel had her babies. She had four. Two of them are tan like her and two look like Coco (my male)

They’re so cute! I’ve never had babies before so this is fun lol

It’s possible

It’s possible she got this email and CANNOT use her YouTube. I got this in 2023 but the strikes were false. I helped the person report a video today with both privacy AND copyright and that should have been the nail in the channels coffin because she still had strikes from before.

Cross your fingers. There’s a reason she was LIVE on TikTok and not YouTube where she’s paid PER VIEW.

I think this is why.

Pregnant Guinea Pig

The brown and while is Chanel, the brown and black is Coco and this photo was taken a week ago.

I got a female baby from Petco that came with a URI and was treated with Doxycycline so I could not add a cagemate until she was better. Once she was cleared, while I was getting her some supplies I saw a piggie in a pet store that looked just like my piggie Chai (she crossed the rainbow bridge in 2024 and was the last of my herd of 5 to go) so I couldn’t leave her there. The new Piggy (Coco) had to be misgendered because yesterday while I was doing their enclosure clean, I noticed Chanel (first piggy) had all of a sudden was stuck coming out of one of her hideys and when I looked at her- I knew she was pregnant.

I live in Florida and it was around 8pm so I found the only decent sized cage that I could get immediately to separate them and did. Here’s my issue. I HATE the fact that they have to be separated and would prefer to keep them as close as possible (they’re kept in my office) but then I’m afraid if she goes into labor I won’t hear her so I moved her into my bedroom at night and then by the main enclosure during the day when I’m in my office.

I went today to get her kale, spinach and other extra vitamin C veggies and she hasn’t touched them. I included her favorite (bell pepper and cilantro) and she is not eating any of it. I’ve never had a pregnant sow before. Is this normal?

I plan on getting Coco (the obvious male) neutered asap and I’ve done a crash course in Guinea Pig obstetrics and gynecology, but I feel terrible that she is alone and separated from Coco and they’re both alone. I know it has to be done, but they don’t understand that.

Any advice is appreciated
