Why are Emperor’s Children my Kryptonite?

I’ve played 3 games against Emperor’s Children and got smoked each time. By the beginning of the second turn I have more than half of nuts opponent’s army breathing down my neck and MVB or defiler is dead or near death. The assault perk is what is what’s causing my headache, I believe. Does anyone have any tips or similar issues. Also any armies that give you heartburn and/or tips for those match ups as well.

I got my defiler and I’m just wondering how people are building it with T-Sons. Since T-sons tend to be a shoot first army / cast doom bolt I was thinking of making my defiler a heavy melee brute. Here’s my build that I’m thinking please let me know your thoughts.

Defiler (250 Points)

• 1x Ectoplasma destructor

• 1x Electroscourge

• 1x Heavy baleflamer

• 2x Pyraflux magma cutters

• 1x Shearing claws
