26 males 5’9 185ish pounds. First ever fast & basically jumped in blind… the weekend before the fast I ate very little, maybe once a day and drank beer heavily. I was aiming for 7 days… I’ve been drinking tea, infused water with cucumber,lime & lemon, Pedialyte with no sugar & water with a pinch of salt. Any recommendation on how long I should fast? After the 3rd day ? After the 5th? Should I keep going until I give up? Any any other intro you’d like to add if greatly welcomed

Hi I’m a 26 year old male with measurements of 5’9 and 180 lbs. So I’m trying to fast for as long as I can, the goal is 7 days but told myself I was going to be honest about how I feel. If I feel in danger I’d eat, if I feel good I’ll extend to as long as I can. I did my research and found out how you need a purpose for fasting & how you use this time to build a relationship with your beliefs. Well honestly I have no idea why I’m doing it I just want to become the best version of who I am suppose to be. I want to be overall healthy which a sharp mind and the best shape of my life. So I started on Monday 5/4/26 at around 9:30am so I’m like 34 hrs in. I did not intend to even do a fast so I didn’t prepare or do anything just basically jumping straight into it. Note I also drank heavily and ate very little the weekend before starting. I was also a very big marijuana user which of course I’ve stopped and plan to quit for good (that part isn’t hard for me I’ve done it before). I’ve been feeling good honestly, if I feel bad it’s not more than 10 mins. I drink water with a pinch of salt not too much only when I feel thirsty, I plan to drink 1 electolit zero daily & make cucumber,lime & lemon infused water with salt. Any insight? Any & all comments welcomed.
