Maybe someone can fact check me on this but If inoue wins this weekend I believe he will have tied (or maybe beaten?) the record for consecutive title fight wins in boxing. If im not mistaken he’s on 25, Floyd retired on 26 and Louis lost the belt at 27? I count 27 title defenses on Joe Louis’s Wikipedia page but it’s always listed as 25 or 26 title defenses for some reason? Really wish boxing media was better at keeping records like this. Also the record for total title fight wins is 31 by Jcc.
