Hi! I really need some clarification about permanent bаns and ban evasion

If someone's 2-year-old account with over 1M karma was permanently b@nned, allegedly for spam, are they allowed to create a new account, post entirely new content, and use Reddit much more carefully without repeating the behavior that may have caused the original ban?

Would simply using a new account be considered b@n evasion? Or does a permanent account b@n mean that person is never allowed to use Reddit again?

I've read Reddit's rules and discussions about this, but I keep finding conflicting answers.

I also know of at least three well-known content creators whose previous accounts were permanently bаnned. They later created obvious new accounts with similar usernames, and those accounts have remained active for 6–12+ months, some reaching over 1M karma again.

So were they actually allowed to return after a permanent Reddit ban? Where exactly is the line between starting over with a new account and ban evasion?

I'd really appreciate clarification, especially from an admin or someone familiar with Reddit's current policy.

Is it allowed to run multiple active Reddit accounts for the same creator?

Hi!

I know Reddit allows multiple accounts, but I couldn't find an answer to this specific situation.

Is it allowed to have 2 active Reddit accounts for the same creator/model if:

  • both accounts actively post content for the same creator;
  • each account has a different niche (for example, feet on one account and lingerie on the other);
  • all posts are unique (no duplicate content between the accounts);
  • the accounts never upvote, comment on, message, or otherwise interact with each other;
  • there is no ban evasion or vote manipulation.

Is this allowed under Reddit's policies, or could it still be considered spam or another policy violation?

Thanks!
