I’m strongly considering MD Emergency Medicine in AIIMS and wanted honest inputs from residents/alumni regarding where to prefer it.

Would really appreciate department-specific insights instead of overall institute reputation alone.

Things I especially want to know:

Actual hands-on opportunities for JR1s

Procedure exposure (intubations, lines, trauma, vents, ultrasound etc.)

Case mix and patient volume

Toxicity/work-life balance

How strong the EM department is compared to medicine/trauma dominance

Also open to hearing if there are other good programs I should seriously consider around this rank.
