Whats best for curb stomping Kaalia?
I've been playing mtg and commander for years, recently I got a bunch of friends into the game and we've been enjoying playing large commander games.
One of my friends seemed to get frustrated at not winning and controlling games and has since came back to the pod with a cancer Kaalia of the vast deck. Since then every match is now extremely boring as no-one gets to do anything as he has 10 different ways of protecting his commander, deals insane damage, and constantly prevents anyone else from having a fun board state. It's hugely power-spiked an otherwise casual pod.
Most of us play with precons and spare proxied decks so we're not usually all bringing decks that can handle this, the pod is mostly people who play when we're together using other people's decks, not building new decks for each game to effectively handle this threat as a pod.
I've talked to him, didn't work. I want to build a deck that utterly ruins his stupid deck and prevents him from ever using his commander all game so he can feel an ounce of what he's inflicting.
Ive been thinking either some super quick izzet burn/counter decks, or maybe an orzhov deck with removal/pacify effects that's better rounded for the match at large.
