Deck help

I’ve been playing magic for around a month now and ive concocted what I think is so far a decent deck but I’m having trouble making a land base. I just don’t understand what it is or how I can make a really good one so I thought I’d turn to here for help. If anyone wants to bash my deck or can lend assistance I’d appreciate it. I’m playing cloud ex solider. I’m looking to spend around $130 on land base I could do more could do less whatever works really.

Need Help Finalizing 35€ Aurelia (Multiple Combat Phases) Deck!

Hello all! I have been making my second budget commander deck. This one is for
Aurelia, the Warleader (Monica, the Marvel).

It's fully brewed and I'm currently happy with the deck but would like to improve it more if possible!

I'm looking for:

  • Any suggestions on what to keep/remove
  • Any replacements
  • Any upgrade/slightly more expensive suggestions too!
  • Any general deckbuilding tips! (this is my second time trying :D)

I have a few more expensive cards in the Considering section on Moxfield. One or two of which I would be okay with adding in too if it makes a big difference!

Here is the decklist on Moxfield:
https://moxfield.com/decks/RMjPOQ4F00SQ145oPhzAvA
And Archidekt if you prefer:
https://archidekt.com/decks/24083631/monica_the_marvel

Any help is greatly appreciated and I'll respond back to you as quick as I can. Thanks!

Tergrid, God of fright

Hey guys,

I know it’s a proper salty commander, but it was one of my first decks I built, I’m looking for upgrades to make it more fast and salty (sorry) because everyone has a crazy board state before I can even get my commander out which gets targeted instantly anyway….the deck list is below:

Advice for branching into other formats?

I've been playing for close to two years now and I would love to branch out from commander. I understand the different formats (pauper, limited, modern, etc) but I have trouble wrapping my head around deck building. Anyone have any resources regarding some best practices for deck building in new formats??

She Was a Fairy - Maralen Fae Ascendant

Hi guys, I'd like some feedback on my maralen fae ascendant deck. Its aiming to be bracket 3. Im trying to make it better and see if anyone else sees weaknesses. Also it's a bit too slow maybe and a little inconsistent, im finding i have to mulligan quite a few times to get lands, even though im running 38! While also finding a hand that has an early engine i can get online

Thank you!

Stuck between Bask and Shuri for commander

https://archidekt.com/decks/24096290/a\_wide\_vibranium\_victory

Based on what I have so far, I'm unsure of which route to take. Which will you choose out of the two?

I'm also heavily considering the cards in the maybeboard to my deck. I think I'll take the L and take out the monarch mechanic, but are there any other cards you see here that I should replace with the maybeboard cards?

I want to be a terrible human being.

I’ve built a full stax deck.

I’ve built group “hug,” which is more of a”group strangle to death”

I’ve built full discard.

I’ve built full impenetrable pillow fort.

My decks tend to be hated in my play groups, but there is one archetype I have not built yet to cap off how much of a terrible human I can be… and that will be mass land destruction.

I picked up the World Shaper precon as a starting point. My idea is to lean heavily into land recursion (“play lands from your graveyard”) and extra land drop effects so I can repeatedly Strip Mine everyone’s mana bases while slowly burning the table down with Hearthull’s sacrifice ability.
I want this deck to be as mean as possible while still maintaining some of the precon’s Lands Matter identity. What upgrades would you make to maximize the pain?

My Big Butts Deck

Hey y’all, I have been trying my hand at deck building. I’m still getting the hang of it mostly using edhrec, scryfall, and checking out decks others have made on midfield. I just put together this Betor, Kin To All, toughness matters deck. I would love to hear any opinions or advice on how to make it stronger or more effective. Trying to keep it in bracket 2 for my pod.

Looking for help upgrading my Rat Deck

Hey all, so most of my commander decks were gifts built by a friend, but I wasn't satisfied with that. so once upon a time, I opted to try building my own deck centered around rat tribal.

I had decided to forego flooding it with Rat Colony or Ravenous Rats, because the concept of playing the same card over and over in a commander game seemed boring to me.

later, I realized that my deck is kinda... scuffed. and I've been trying to fix it off and on for a few years with no idea exactly how.
So... now I'm turning to the reddit hivemind. Immediate thoughts/concerns are that I just don't have enough one-drop creatures, or recursion, and that this deck is only really designed to fart out rats with little focus into anything else if that fails. and it doesn't particularly fart out rats well either, I don't think. Iunno. maybe this is an *amazing* casual deck, and I'm just an idiot that doesn't know how to play it right. suggestions on what to swap out/put in would be appreciated.

Gisa and Geralf

I’m new to magic. I just got the grave danger precon not to long ago. I want to stick with gisa and Gerald as the commander right now. I know [[wilhelt the rot cleaver]] plays differently. I have heard of some good cards to use in the deck for the zombie tribal. I have heard of [[rooftop storm]] and [[hordewing skabb]] to help with the deck some. I have only added a couple cards to the precon. They will be shown in the deck list. Anything helps thanks in advance.

Cutting the final 8 cards for my "Wizard of Barge" Krenko deck!

Hi everyone!

I was lucky enough to snag the Wizard of Barge "Goblin Storm" secret lair. I’ve been a huge fan of his artwork since the early days, so I really wanted to build something around these cards.

Initially, I looked into building Zada, Hedron Grinder, but I found it a bit too "all-or-nothing" and linear (turn 4 win or bust). Instead, I’ve decided to go with Krenko, Mob Boss. The goal is to keep as many Wizard of Barge cards/artworks in the deck as possible while making it functional and fun.

The Problem:

I’m currently sitting at 108 cards and I’m struggling to make the final cuts.

Decklist link: https://archidekt.com/decks/23001087/krenko

(I've tried to sort the deck into categories to make it easier to read!)

My concerns:

  1. Too many creatures? I have 35 right now. I know Goblins need a critical mass, but I’m not sure which ones are underperforming.

  2. Card Draw: I feel like I might be a bit short on ways to refill my hand once I've dumped my Goblins on the board.

  3. The "Wizard of Barge" Constraint: I want to keep the flavor, but I need the deck to actually work!

I need to cut 8 cards. Which ones would you take out? Also, if you have any "secret tech" or general tips for a Krenko pilot, I’m all ears!

Thanks in advance for the help! 🤘🔥

Help me with my Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan brew

Hi! I recently decided to break apart my [[Felisa, Fang of the Silverquill]] deck in order to build a [[Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan]] one.

I always wanted to play an Abzan deck but I don’t have a lot of familiarity with green, so I’m having trouble implementing some cards (especially the ramp ones). I‘m thinking about a 1 into 3 cmc ramp strat, but I’m not quite sure about it.

Plus, I’m leaving out the aristocrat options because I feel like they water down the gameplay, weakening the main strat of putting counters on creatures and swing hard with them, so my current focus is on counters and recursion, with a splash of sacrifice value in order to keep other’s boards at bay.

I am not against combos but I don’t want to change the whole deck in order to play an infinite that goes nowhere, the ones that I put into where almost a casualty of frantic deck building. However, I don’t mind suggestions on how to make them work (I feel like they are inconclusional atm).

I kinda want to play in a b3/b4 spot, so feel free to suggests game changers and all (although I wanted to keep it relatively low budget).

Thanks to everyone who will help with this trainwreck of a deck, here is the link to it https://archidekt.com/decks/23989208/io_so_smack

Building a high power Zur the Enchanter deck, could use some advice

Hi,

I am building my first truly high power deck around zur the enchanter. It's gonna be a toolbox stax/focused disruption deck. I only built lower power midrange and control decks before, so this is all pretty new to me. I am having problems with figuring out the best in store wincons (oracle-consultation not happening, for moral reasons 😁). I have the second sun combo, a few card voltron option, heliod-ballista and some hard stax locks in mind. If anyone have some must include cards, themes or combos to make my deck truly powerful, i would really appreciate it.

Ps: budget isn't really a concern, i have already spent a couple hundread on some must include gamechangers and good lands.

Storm, Windrider Upgrade Ideas Needed

Hey everyone, my decklist link is below. I'm working on a [[Storm, Windrider]] deck that obviously does what it says - cast big stompy green creatures and get them airborne to attack when my opponents' fliers can't block them. Commandersalt is only giving the power level about a 5 and I'm trying to hit 7.

Any ideas for cards that I haven't included that would improve the gameplan? Thanks in advance!
