How would you go with renly's invasion of dorne.

I'm writing this fic where Stannis has four children, like Maekar.

  • **Steffon the Drunken** is married to Margaery Tyrell. He's a poet and playwright, self-loathing at some level, and he is Prince of Dragonstone.
  • **Borros** (a classic second son) is made Lord of the God's Eye. That little castle held by Tyrek Lannister in canon is given to him — I can't remember its name. Borros's steward holds Harrenhal for him. It's a clever trick to keep the curse away while holding the castle.

Stannis gave it to Borros after seeing how any force can threaten King's Landing easily — like Tywin does in canon — and to stabilize the Riverlands with the Crown's support.

Now there are two major problems left: the Greyjoys and Dorne.

Dorne has Myrcella. Long story short, I want to give Dorne — and Arianne — to Renly. Of course, House Baratheon can't control it directly, but Renly's second son would be Lord of it. Or Ormund, Stannis's third son (age 9), is an option, but I don't want a poor boy of 9 to get cucked growing up.

So a war has to start in Dorne. Doran refuses to give up Myrcella and also refuses to crown her (as in the canon version). He is expecting dragons to return one way or another.

Now Stannis has many shadow baby possibilities. They could kill Myrcella and end this talk of rebellion — but let's be real, that's just postponing it further. They could assassinate Doran, make Oberyn and Myrcella crown her, and then things get fun.

Renly — in reality, Randyll Tarly — leads a campaign into Dorne with Storm's End and Reach men. The Yronwoods support the Crown and kill Quentyn. After a few wars, Oberyn dies, and Arianne kneels and marries Renly. I don't know.

How would you go with the Dorne plot?

Favorite couple you want on ironthrone?

If *ASOIAF* were to end with a king and queen — not a democracy or a Holy Westerosi Empire like Bran had in the show finale — my pick for king and queen, from the people we can get, would be Jon Snow and Shireen Baratheon.

Shireen, of course, as queen, daughter of King Stannis. She appears to be smart, bookish, and a bit of an outcast — which is perfect for a queen. She had a very lonely childhood, so she wouldn't rank people from birth. She wouldn't torment anyone. She doesn't believe she is special, unlike a certain blue-haired weirdo in the South. Jon and she could be like Aerys and Bloodraven — but functional.

I can see Jon being both prince consort and Hand of the Queen, or at least a very influential man at court, like Daemon Targaryen was back in the Dance. And of course, Jon doesn't need much advertising. He is young, handsome, a good leader, and a commander in battles. He is Stannis's spiritual son.

This quote summarizes it:

*"In truth, the young lord commander and her king had more in common than either one would ever be willing to admit. Stannis had been a younger son living in the shadow of his elder brother, just as Jon Snow, bastard-born, had always been eclipsed by his trueborn sibling, the fallen hero men had called the Young Wolf. Both men were unbelievers by nature, mistrustful, suspicious. The only gods they truly worshipped were honor and duty."*

And on account of their personal relationship — they could be such a sad, dark couple. Jon wouldn't be very attracted to her, but he would still try his best not to make her feel that way. And for Jon, the biggest issue is belonging.

What do you guys think?
