Have an employee who I know has been OE for a few months. I didn't mind because we are trying to find him his next project anyways and I'm a bit of a secret worker's advocate type of boss.

He asked me for severance today. I assume because he was planning on leaving anyways and wants the extra few weeks of pay. Interesting strategy I've never seen as a manager. Anybody else done this?
