Guy cancelled date right before we were supposed to meet. Should I give him a second chance?
I've (33F) been talking to a guy (39M) on Bumble for a couple of weeks and the conversation has been going well. He let me know upfront that he would be traveling for a few days in early/mid June, so if I wanted to meet in person, it would have to be after he gets back. I said that was fine.
Yesterday, he messaged me in the morning that he wanted to go for a walk in the park with me after work (at 6PM) and asked that if I wanted to/was available, that I message him before 2PM so we could finalize the details. The park he wanted to go to is within walking distance from my apartment, so though I wasn't crazy about the idea of a walk for a first date, I figured I had nothing to lose since it was convenient. I saw his message at 1PM and messaged back that it sounded good. I didn't hear back from him for the rest of the afternoon about the final details (like where in the park to meet), so I got ready and figured maybe work was busy and he would message me when he got there or something.
At 5:45PM, I get a message from him that he assumed I wasn't interested or wasn't free and he made plans with other friends. I have no idea how to interpret this: An honest mistake? He chickened out? He doesn't value people's time?
Should I give him another chance when he gets back from traveling or just stop talking to him?
TL;DR: Guy from dating app made plans for a first date with me the same day, then cancelled right before. Should I give him a second chance
