When I blast light, the top leaves fry and turn white, when I dim the lights the bottom leaves start melting,

The set up is like 1 month old but some plants were added only a week ago

The light I’m using is brandless and was bought coz it was cheap (I’m just starting out), I’ve been leaving it on for 7 hours under the brightest setting but I recently went on holiday and asked a family member to monitor it for me and I’m not too sure what they’ve been doing…

I haven’t used any fertilizers and there’s nothing in my tank except for pest snails

I’m kinda at a lost and need some advice 😞
