I bought my son a Dell optiplex pc for his birthday. I know it isn’t anything fancy but it’s what was in the budget & he’s just a kid still.
I’m trying to set it up so that on his big day it’s just ready to rock. I was able to get it set up through my hotspot on my phone.
When I try to connect to Internet, it shows everyone’s wifi in the area including my phones hotspot. It will not show my home internet though.
I tried restarting & updating my modem or router idk I’m not tech savvy at all.. I tried restarting the PC itself as well.
It did come with a driver thing that plugs in the back, which I did. I don’t have an antenna for the computer it didn’t come with one?
I have an eero app that shows everything is running fine for my wifi, I work from home and my Lenovo connects no issues.
Does anyone know what I could do to fix this problem? I’m just a confused mom trying to make her kid happy lol.
Would running an Ethernet cable work?
