Perimenopause or something else?

I have always been a little overweight but several months back I started thinking about my health, watching what I was eating and working out. I got very sick a few months ago which left me physically unable to work out but I kept going with the healthy eating.

In recent months, I have been struggling with cravings like never had before. I find myself eating more than I would have done previously and craving chocolate and sweet things. I just don’t seem to have the willpower to resist and as a result, I’ve put on several pounds recently.

Could this be related to hormonal changes? I cannot seem to stop myself and I hate that I am putting back on the weight that I had lost and the potential impact to my health.

We have been dealing with a solicitor since late last year as executors of a family members will. We were initially told the process would take 2-3 months and here we are almost 6 months later and they still have submitted the probate application.

When we ask for updates, we’re given minimal information and just told that it’s processing as it should.

Is this the standard or just the solicitor we have chosen? Any idea how long the probate process generally takes once submitted?
