Childhood dog that I don’t know how to take care of

This is my first time posting so I apologize for any mistakes.
I got my puppy when I was in middle school and my parents didn’t teach me or walk me through how to take care of her. All I knew was that she needed to eat and drink but I didn’t even realize what bathing looked like for a dog and genuinely didn’t even know they needed their teeth brushed. I was just so out of knowledge and careless and I regret not being smart enough to look into it more back then. Now, that puppy is older, barely has teeth, breath smells and is just poorly taken care of because I feel like I can’t reverse all that I did and I only got more busy as I also got older.

All that being said, now I’m too scared/embarrassed to take her to the vet cause I feel like I will be shamed or even hated for how she’s been treated. I don’t know what to do, I obviously want to/need to take her but I’m so scared for fear of judgement. Guess I’m just wondering if anyone has been in this situation…

I realize I messed up in not looking to take care of her sooner but again, I had no idea what it took.
