I think someone is stalking my new Instagram account, after being stalked on my old account.
So, hello, I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I need to get this off my chest.
I had an older account that I used from 11th grade through my freshman year of college. On that older account, if I remember, I would get a lot of adult star bot accounts trying to follow, like, or watch my account. It was really weird, but I just thought it was just a bot account doing bot things. It was an older account, I was following a lot of people, and many I just had a target on my back, leading to a bot account coming on mass to my account.
I only started to care when and friends boyfriend brought it up as a joke about how many bot accounts were following me and liking my post. I didn't think about the number of bot accounts as I wasn't on Instagram like that or really cared. But when I went to check, there were so many of them it was hard to unfollow all.
At this point thought I didn't think anything weird till my account started to act up. As I was getting kicked out of my account, I couldn't unfollow people without Insta thinking I was botting my account???
That's when I came across and tiktok video stating that someone would use a website that would make adult bot accounts to follow and stalk others. And at that point, it clicked. That I was being stalked. The issue was that the only two people who could have done it by the time I blocked them on my public account at this point, I was already getting weird accounts following me. Maybe they were still stalking before this, before the block???? I'm not sure, but even though I had conflicts with thought people, I thought I didn't matter as much, and so I just let it go.
Now I have a new account, as I grew embarrassed about that older account, this after the adult porn accounts, after blocking people, and this new account is private. Now I just got two adult star bot accounts trying to follow???
I have talked to my sister about this, and she said I could have placed my email on a weird website, but I don't think that's possible, as I would remember and who would give out their accounts to a weird website. This email is new, newer than the older Instagram account. But it was made before the stalking... I think. But at the time was used as my job email till I changed it to a newer email.
So yeah, that's my story. How do I stop this? How can I see who's stalking me? Should I say something to my maybe stalkers????
