How do I ask my friend to give me my money back?
Hi guys, I need your advice because I genuinely don’t know if I’m overthinking this!
I’ve been paying for my friend the last 3 times we went out, usually around $20–$40 each time.
Every time I try to split it between the two of us, her card suddenly gets declined and I end up covering it because I feel awkward just standing there!
The problem is I actually do want my money back, but I feel really shy bringing it up now because I already paid multiple times without saying anything. I don’t want to sound cheap or make things weird, but it’s starting to bother me.
How would you bring this up politely? Or should I just stop paying next time no matter what?
Note “She says she will transfer me the money back but end up giving excuses”, I like being friends with her and I don’t want this matter to make ue awkward!
