People voted for Vijay despite the Trisha incident.

I know there aren’t many options, which is why Vijay appeals to people. But the Trisha incident felt really cringe to me. It honestly feels like we’re moving backwards as a society — normalizing or overlooking men’s behavior toward their wives, including things like affairs.

Something should be done about this. If a leader can walk away without responsibility , what example are we setting for the common man here ?

Indian. Machine Learning Researcher. MS. ~10 years of experience across industry + research. ~380+ citations, h-index ~9. Considering EB1A (self-petition).
I’m trying to realistically assess my chances before filing and would really appreciate an honest evaluation from this group.
I’m planning to apply under the following 4 criteria:
Authorship of Scholarly Articles – multiple ML publications with steady citations
Original Contributions of Major Significance – supported via citation analysis + recommendation letters
Peer Review – reviewer for journals/conferences
Critical Role – applied ML work in industry (team-based impact)
A few specific questions I’d love input on:
Is ~380 citations / h-index ~9 strong enough for EB1A, assuming good letters?
How risky is Original Contributions at this citation level?
Does Critical Role meaningfully strengthen a research-heavy profile like mine?
Would this profile be safer under EB1B instead (given employer sponsorship)?
What are the biggest gaps I should address before filing?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people with similar stats who were approved or denied.
