Changing phone providers didn't go as planned
Today I wanted to change phone providers while keeping my own number which is possible. All was arranged, but I had to cancel my current subscription (NOT my phone number) so my new provider could use it after my old provider released it to them. (I went from Vodafone to KPN)
So I called them (V) and what happened? they cancelled my number!!!! Even though I told them I was changing providers, so I just needed to cancel the remaining months 😭
Had to call back and forth (luckily I have a work phone) and in the end they (V) told me cheerfully I had to go to the store tomorrow because they needed to verify me(?) so they could activate my number again, and my new provider could use it. Tomorrow is a public holiday, so I won't have a usable phone number until Friday (hopefully it will be fixed by then). Luckily my whatsapp is still active but I cannot transfer it to my new device 🥲
What a parting gift...
