How does everyone feel about this guys ...................... , how are your emotions at this point ............... when do you guys think the results will be declared............

This is from a video for last cycle and it says student selection is based on the parent institute and i think from this we can some what infer that the selection lies in the hands of the professor we applied to i think .... Again maybe wrong it is from this particular video, didn't makeup any stuff

hope it helps us somewhat ........... I mean maybe or may not be the case for this year but i think it solely lies in the professor hands as you know they should decide whether he wants a student to work for him rather than an algorithm providing him with one and also in case of tie breaker professor would be the one to have the final say in case of conflict among the fellows and also the preferences are only a tie breaker for one's own self i think as you know if we give more than one preference algo prefers the highest preference one as it should assign only one project for one person and then contact professor in case of any conflict and who to choose .... SO this is my theory and it might not be true or can be the closest to the truth.

I have got two offers one from second preference and one from fourth preference, and after the interview i was more interested in my fourth preference and i just selected my fourth and rejected my second preference. Can anyone tell me if there is a chance for rejection for me at this point as i just accepted one and in the mail there is a mention of "selected for the following" line and also decide accordingly is mentioned and i thought i can just decide freely , Can anybody help me understand this scenario and tell me if i would be rejected and have no offers at this point or would i be selected in my project
