After the One UI 8.5 update, my S24 Ultra camera suddenly started giving really bad quality in night shots. The processing looked overexposed and weird, so I compared it with my old iPhone XR out of curiosity… and somehow the XR looked better 😭

I was genuinely shocked because the S24 Ultra hardware is supposed to be miles ahead. Then I opened Pro Mode on the S24 Ultra and instantly realized the camera hardware itself is perfectly fine — the shots became much cleaner, sharper, and more natural. So the issue clearly seems to be Samsung’s new camera optimization/processing in normal auto mode after the update.

A friend of mine also got the s24u but his antutu were 1.9 million last ......
