Don't Forget! After You're Done, Tell Them to DELETE Your Account
Pretty much the title, but yeah, once you are done with Intoxalock, make SURE that your account is deleted off their servers. Meaning that it is completely gone, you can't log in, you can't recover it.
The cyber attack in March proved that they are NOT to be trusted with your data, so when you are done with them and the device is removed, email Customer Advocacy at customeradvocacy@intoxalock.com and demand that your have your data server-wiped or you will file complaints with your state's consumer protection division and pursue them with legal action.
Don't waste time calling or sending an email anywhere else. I called, and I was told by the Indian call center rep "I am unable to delete the account, but don't worry about it!"
Yeah, don't worry about a parasitic company that leaves it's servers open to cyber attack having my name, DOB, SSN, and an active credit card. And don't think that canceling the credit card on file is good enough, they will STILL have all that other information, ready to sell to the next data broker that wants it or give it to the next hacker that breaches them.
