Are Elective Inductions an option?
Hey all,
I've requested a c section with my second child. All approved due to previous history and section, but they did say I could try a VBAC if I wanted.
With my age and previous early delivery due to placenta failure (being monitored this time with growth scans) I was wondering if it is allowed to opt for an elective induction rather than section before 40 weeks.
I'm torn as I've heard so many times inductions end in emergency sections, whereas the experience and recovery for an elective section is a more positive experience. It's the recovery from any section I'm a bit dubious of going through again.
Is an elective induction an option? Is it done earlier than a section, and has anyone opted for this with either a positive or less favourable outcome?
