Hello,

i'm 25 and i had a pap smear done the day before my 25th birthday. I got the results back and they were negative for High Risk HPV, chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomonas but my Pap smear results were ASC-H..

at first the doctor said "Your PAP returned with atypical cells. You also tested negative for high risk HPV which is good news because it causes cervical cancer. The recommendation is to have another PAP in 3 years." a month goes by and something remained me of that pap result... so i go down the rabbit hole and get scared by chatgpt, reddit and google Al shit.

I asked the doctor "Since my Pap showed ASC-H, shouldn't I be followed up sooner than 3 years to ensure there isn't a high-grade lesion, even though my HPV was negative?" as per google Al told me
she responds "Great question, 'name'.
I recommend looking more closely at your cervix. This procedure is called a colposcopy. I will send a referral to a gynecologist and you should hear from them in about a week to schedule."

IM LOSING IT NOW. my whole body went numb and i'm in a full blown panic attack.

what does this mean???? She noted during the pap smear that i had a lot of discharge but didn't really say anything else. thinking back I had sex a few days prior and i could feel it hitting my cervix painfully, and i do get frequent by and yeast infections. could that have had something to do with it? my last pap was done a few months after i had my first baby, and it was normal. I have been single for awhile and went a little crazy in the sex department, i was getting regular std/sti tests when i would slip up and not use protection (my tubes are tied) I can't lie i had a few different partners prior to this pap smear. Sigh. has anyone had a similar experience?
