Macfox X2 controller fix

I’m having a frustrating issue with my KT 35A controller and KT LCD3 display on my MacFox X2 48V ebike. Walk mode works perfectly, display turns on and shows all info correctly, motor spins the right direction in walk mode, brake light works, everything powers up fine. However throttle and PAS both do nothing — twisting the throttle does absolutely nothing on the display and the motor doesn’t respond at all. I’ve gone through all P and C settings multiple times with P4=0, C4=0, P3=1 and every combination of P2 from 0-6. I spliced a 9 pin Julet harness to connect my stock bike wiring to the new controller and all wire colors match up. PAS sensor has a solid green LED when powered on. Throttle is the stock 48V throttle that came with the bike and worked perfectly on the old controller. No brake sensors are connected and those wires are capped off and not touching anything. I’ve checked every connection and wiggled every wire with no change. The controller is brand new, never been used before this install. I’m completely stumped — walk mode works which tells me the controller and motor are communicating fine, but neither throttle nor PAS will activate the motor at all. Any ideas what could be causing both throttle and PAS to be dead simultaneously while walk mode works perfectly

I got a new controller for my Mac fox X2

The stock power on my bike is 48 V 40 ah battery my motor is 1000 W peak and my stock controller was a 22 amp maximum current and my new controller I got is a 35 amp. I ordered some connectors and soldering stuff, but it won’t be here until tomorrow so I’m trying to figure out the mounting and wiring situation before that comes. My new controller came with these really small wires for the battery connection and I thought that was weird because I didn’t think the small wires would be able to handle 35 A from the controller so I opened up my old controller which was the 22 amp one and it has the same small wires for the battery connection. Are these wires going to be safe to push 35 A through? I’m kind of new to wiring and electronics so I’m just a little confused about why these wires are so small. Is it going to overheat if I tried to plug it into my bike and try to ride it?
