This is the gray uniformity I’m seeing on an RGB16 test pattern with the monitor brightness at minimum in SDR. I know this is a harsh test, but I’m also seeing some slight banding/uniformity issues in normal use, especially on dark gray backgrounds like Reddit in dark mode. It’s less noticeable than in this test pattern, but still perceivable.
LG support says this is expected/normal and not something they would cover under warranty. I have a few days left to decide whether to return it.
For those of you with the new LG 5K2K, are you seeing similar gray uniformity issues, or did I just lose the panel lottery?
For context, the panel has about 60 hours on it, and I’ve run several pixel refresh cycles.
