I really wanted to like it. The first half is painfully slow, and then it’s just too bizarrely sexually violent and weirdly misogynistic? I don’t tend to regret reading a book even if I never end up finishing it/lose interest, but I regret wasting a nice Sunday afternoon on this. It seems like the author deeply misunderstood Fight Club and American Psycho or maybe she’s secretly an actual edgy 14 year old
