So I have been on contraception since 16 years old, mostly the one they implant into your arm. I am currently 27F. I recently had that taken out and am not on any birth control.

I had unprotected sex 4 times in about 2 weeks, I have just gotten my period even though it was late. So the unprotected sex obviously did not get me pregnant.

My question is, is this normal? Sounds stupid but I guess I've grown up being told one time unprotected sex can result in pregnancy (true but I thought it was far more common than it actually is) and I don't know why but I just assumed it was far easier to get pregnant than it has been for me. I am well aware that it's completely different for everyone and it depends on a lot of different factors but I guess I'm wanting to know if you've conceived, how long did it take for you to fall pregnant? Or How long were you trying before you fell pregnant?

I do hope this makes sense, my apologies if it doesn't, bit stressed as I've always had it in the back of my mind that there's a chance I would struggle to fall pregnant naturally. My biggest fear really.

Any information or personal experiences welcomed !

Thanks 🩷
