i am haunted by an expressionless lightpost

and it just stands there

like a stupid fucking dog locked in a car, a black car, a scorching hot, hellish predicament to find oneself in

a sudden gust of wind out of seemingly nowhere

it carries the familiar smell of maybe...

...being mistaken

like a bloody nose and ringing ears and smell of an apartment you've only been in once or twice

the light is on, it must be nighttime

i don't really know how i didn't notice that
