I was excited for this bottle since they started advertising it to me in February. I bought it the day it was released, as a birthday gift to myself. The paint on this bottle is horrible. It arrived with areas that looked like the paint was worn away/not printed. I hand washed it, treated it gently. Then a whole chip of paint came off the box turtle's neck! I contacted Owala. They were not very helpful. First they offered to give me 30% credit. Then they offered a refund if I shipped it back. I explained that I would like an exchange not a refund. They said no, but that once they received the bottle back they would send a refund including the cost of shipping it back. Then my niece got her hands on it, and it got scraped up (she was not rough with it, just a kid it should be more durable). So I was trying to determine if it was a lost cause or if I should still pursue it, and Owala sent me an email that they had closed my claim without any resolution. I will never pay so much for an Owala bottle again (it was over $50 with S&H). I have a collection of tumblers that have taken a beating because I certainly wasn't careful with them (because they weren't nearly so expensive), and they are in great shape. I do like the sip/straw design. I may buy a non-fancy affordable version one day, but Idk. I'm pretty mad right now.
