Law or Engineering?
P.S: Kinda asking cause I wanna see if I can get some insight from either students or lawyers/engineers.
Quick run down:
I've recently completed my foundation in Science at Tarumt and I have a four week break before I start my degree. One day I was reading some cerita-cerita that involves lawyers and I was like, maybe I'd like law more than mechatronics engineering.
I feel like law could be cool because it's more language based and human-behaviour orientated which is pretty interesting to me. That doesn't mean I hate engineering, in fact I think STEM subjects are cool but I'm still kinda iffy about whether or not I want to do it for the rest of my life. Of course this also applies to Law.
The thing is that if I were to go for Engineering, my dad would have an easier time funding my studies and I could possibly graduate without much debt. On the other hand, law at private colleges like BAC would likely be around 60-80k (including clp exam) so it's a little bit more risky.
Life could also suck a lot for both jobs but I ain't sure so that's why I made this post. Like lawyers don't actually stand trial most of the time to persuade judges, it's mostly paperwork which require insane attention to detail, and most of it is in Malay if I plan to practice in Malaysia (not a dealbreaker), at least from what I read. Engineers could have it slightly better but just slightly cause they still have to manage deadlines and stuff so I assume it's kinda similar on both fronts.
Last thing is pay. So like, I've read that engineering grads could have a slightly higher initial pay but lawyers have a higher earning potential in the long-run. Is that always the case? And is it worth considering when I make my decision.
That's all! Just tryna educate myself before making a decision so apologies if I misunderstood anything.
