As per title, it seems to be dead, but the OS recognizes it, and it listens and responds to i2c (DDC/CI) commands, that is, I can read/write data on i2c bus and it even reads sane values, but 0xD6 (or any other) command has no observable effect, the panel stays off, and the indicator led too.

It doesn't respond to buttons. Swapping cables and connecting it to another machine didn't help either.

Supposedly it was malformed DDC/CI command (bugged brightness control software) that put it in this state, so I assume it is a firmware issue.

Any advice on that?
