Castle fanfic readers: I wrote a continuation of More Than Words

Hi everyone!

I hope this is okay to share here, but I wanted to let fellow Castle fanfic readers know that I’ve written a continuation/second half for feministly’s More Than Words. It was seemingly abandoned 9 years ago and was a deeply wonderful story.

The original story has been one of my absolute favorite Castle fics for years, and even unfinished, it stayed with me in a way very few stories do. I’ve reread it several times and always wished these versions of Rick and Kate could get the ending they deserved, so I finally decided to write one.

My continuation is called More Than Words: Continued. It picks up where feministly’s original leaves off and is written with a lot of love and respect for the tone, emotion, and slow-burn beauty of the first half.

I’m not affiliated with the original author, and I truly hope this comes across as a tribute rather than anything else. I just loved the story so much that I couldn’t stop wondering how it might end.

If anyone else has been wishing for more of this fic after all these years, I’d love for you to check it out! My username on ff.net is kmwd1206.

The best ff story I’ve ever read is only half complete. It hasn’t been updated by the author in over 7 years. I desperately need a resolution to this story as it left off at a very tense moment haha. I finally took it upon myself to write an ending and it turned out well. I’ve never published anything on ff.net so I’m wondering the best way to go about it. Do I just publish my half and leave an authors note about the original story? Or can I publish their half plus mine (while giving credit to the original author for their chapters obviously). Will it get taken down if I copy someone else’s content? TIA for the help!
