Need Advice Choosing a 27-inch 1440p IPS Gaming Monitor: LG 27GS75Q vs Alienware AW2725DM vs BenQ EX271Q
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to upgrade my monitor and would appreciate some advice from people who have experience with these models.
Current setup:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT
Current monitor: 24-inch Samsung 1080p IPS, 75Hz (not sure about the exact model)
The monitor has been great, but I think it's finally time to move to a 27-inch 1440p high refresh rate display since my GPU should handle 1440p gaming quite well.
The monitor will be used for approximately:
60% Gaming
40% Coding/Productivity
I've decided not to go with an OLED display. While I know OLED offers a fantastic gaming experience, I'll also be spending several hours coding every day. From what I've read, text rendering on OLED still isn't ideal for long productivity sessions, so I'd prefer to stick with an IPS panel.
After reading a lot of reviews and browsing Reddit, I've narrowed my options down to:
LG 27GS75Q
Alienware AW2725DM
BenQ EX271Q
Current prices in India are:
LG 27GS75Q – ₹19,000
Alienware AW2725DM – ₹23,000
BenQ EX271Q – ₹22,000
I'm leaning towards the Alienware AW2725DM because it seems to receive consistently positive feedback, but I'm not sure whether it's worth paying around ₹4,000 more than the LG.
I'd like to know:
Is the Alienware noticeably better in terms of overall image quality, motion handling, colors, HDR performance, and build quality?
Is the LG the better value for the price?
How does the BenQ compare with these two?
Are there any other 27-inch 1440p IPS gaming monitors in the ₹20,000–25,000 price range that I should consider?
I'm planning to keep this monitor for several years, so I'd rather make the right choice than simply buy the cheapest option.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
