TikTok u/tanicaesar and her jewelry store TikTok u/caesararchivum. Also on Instagram u/tanicaesar and u/caesararchivum.
I am not sure where in the Reddit world to post this so please bear with me. I have been scouring Reddit to find anything on Tani and her jewelry company Caesar Archivum. All to no avail! So I do not know if she is just generally well-liked or is she not that famous? Either way, here goes!
At the end of March she announced on TT and IG that she was closing her jewelry store due to health problems and has a sale code. I have always loved her history commentary and thought she was funny and saw an opportunity to get some history themed jewelry and support someone going through a hard time and placed an order same day. Twoish weeks go by and no updates or tracking numbers. I hop on IG to look for updates and to my relief, there was one. It said that there had been an influx of orders following the closing announcement and they have a massive backlog, but also kind of soft-announce a pre-order. So you're overwhelmed, understandable, and there's still money to be made, especially before closing shop, also understandable. No timeline on when orders should go out though. There's health issues, there's an update, patience young grasshopper. A few more days go by. Then a few more weeks. No updates. A month after the announcement, I hit the comment section of that post and a few commenters are complaining that there is no response from customer service and a month from ordering still no tracking number. Just like me. Now I go on the internet and some people have been experiencing these same problems since before Christmas, months before the closing announcement. So now my questions are:
- If there had been such a massive influx of orders where hundreds of them were not shipped out on what is coming up on a month and a half later, wouldn't more people be starting to wonder where their order is? Even despite illness and one vague announcement?
OR
- Is the massive backlog made up to buy time while she takes the money and runs? I want to give a human during a hard time the benefit of the doubt but my scam senses are starting to prickle at this situation.
