End of Semester Difficulties
Does anybody else experience a very difficult period at the end of a college semester? I just finished a semester where I loved my classes, and because it was a difficult course load I spent the majority of my time studying and had a very busy schedule and not a lot of free time. I enjoyed this routine and felt very purposeful everyday knowing I had tasks to complete, and I loved the material I was studying. My classes were also relatively small in size, so attending class was something that I looked forward to and was enjoyable. Now that the semester is over, I am having an extremely hard time adjusting to having just nothing I need to do. I’m sad that my classes don’t exist anymore, I’m not going to see everyone, and it feels like my days have no purpose. I usually go out with my friends on the weekends, but having absolutely no scheduled structure during the weekdays is making me very sad. I literally feel insane and like I’m mourning. Is this a normal thing to experience?
