Hi. I had a root canal done the last week of March and after wards, my mouth was okay for about two weeks. Mid April, I started having a sharp stabbing pain in my mouth so I went to the dentist who prescribed me antibiotics. Following this, I had a huge pimple/abscess on my gums which i got popped by my dentist. She referred me to a root canal specialist who took these in a 3D scan and said I need the tooth removed immediately but when I got the second opinion, the guy said to get another root canal. What do I do? I’m not in pain at the moment but I’m really scared from all the stories I’ve heard about tooth infections spreading to the brain.
