Stuck in limbo after 7 week scan. Potential blighted ovum #2?

Has anyone had a visible gestational sac but no baby at 7 weeks, that ended positively?

Pregnant again after 2 losses in a year, one of which was a blighted ovum. Went for a 7 week scan today. I had to go to a specific clinic as I had a unicornuate uterus. She was struggling with the internal transvaginal ultrasound and then proceeds to scan me abdominal with an empty bladder. She claim she was struggling to see inside the sac, but didn’t specifically say ‘there’s nothing in there.’ She was also running 30 mins behind so I think she was in a hurry and didn’t want to investigate too much.
So I’ve had to pay $400 for the inconclusive scan and book another for 2 weeks. I’m so frustrated. She should have grabbed another doctor if she wasn’t sure or needed help, right? Im going to another clinic to have the follow up scan. Surely I wouldn’t have a second blighted ovum in a row? It seems like it’s super rare??

Do some people just have slow rising/low HCG, regardless of the outcome? Is it genetic? Is it affected by your BMI?

Can’t find much online so was curious to see if others had found anything or knew.

I was just curious if people saw a variation in HCG for successful and unsuccessful pregnancies. I’ve had 2 miscarriages and for one the HCG rose normally, and the other rose slowly.
My levels are always quite small so wasn’t sure if it’s just something that applies for different people. Currently waiting to see if my third pregnancy is viable.

I was convinced I was having a chemical pregnancy on Friday because I’d started what I thought was my period on Thursday. It was red with a few small clots. For context I had a natural miscarriage on 25th Feb 2026. I wasn’t going to do a pregnancy test because of the bleeding, but something was gnawing at me to do one. My last period was 25th March 2026. There was a faint line on Friday afternoon. I did a pregnancy test the next morning and it looked fainter. I did another one this afternoon. It’s quite dark compared to the others. I’m convinced it may not be a chemical and perhaps implantation bleeding if it’s darker than the other day. My tests are lighter in the morning. Is this normal? I’m going to have HCG blood test tomorrow.

I also did an LH test which was 0.95 which is high.
