So I got a single drop of blood on the collar of my pajamas one night. Immediately doused the area with hydrogen peroxide, rinsed it in cool water and then washed it the next day.
I couldn’t tell at the time because the water made everything the same color, but that single blood drop spread all over my pajama top until it looked like a crime scene. Didn’t discover until after it came out of the dryer.
I doubt it’s recoverable now as it happened a year ago and has been through multiple washes (favorite most comfy jams that I refuse to retire) but what the heck did I do wrong? I didn’t want to leave the peroxide overnight. I was afraid it would bleach the color. But now if I get blood on something I don’t even bother to save and just consider it ruined. People still swear on peroxide tho so surely it was user error on my part!
