Royal Commission on Anti-Semitism and Social Cohesion
Is anyone else kind of confused about some of the rhetoric and conversations around the Royal Commission on Anti-Semitism and Social Cohesion? I hear them talk on the news about trying to figure out why there has been such an increase in antisemitism in the past few years and how to counter it and they never seem to mention the glaring obvious reason as to why. There is literally a country (you know which one) using innocent Jewish people around the world as shields to carry out genocide, and when there is any sort of pushback against what they are doing they hide behind the religion and say an attack on them is an attack on all Jewish people. Most people have social media and can see what is going on, not just what is shown on the news but actual first hand account videos. They feel disenfranchised with Australian pol parties for not standing up against genocide. A country that uses Judaism to justify all their actions would of course then lead people around the world to attribute their actions to this religion leading to a rise in Anti-semitism. Australian Jewish groups and lobby groups have instead of calling this out, vehemently supported their actions.
I would love to know what other Australians opinions are on this because I feel like the commission will spend ages trying to figure out why without addressing the elephant in the room.
