I am helping my mother go through some pieces of hers- any ideas on maker or age?

Edit: GUYS! I didn't censor this post because I think the art is problematic. I censored it because my original post was taken down with zero explanation. A non-censored image is in the comments as well as a bunch of people who can't take 2 seconds to find out why it was censored in the first place.

Original text:

My original listing was auto-taken down, and I think it was because of keywords I used or what the artwork is. So, I'm sorry for the scribbles 😅

The back is marked 18K and that is the only stamp I see. I'm guessing it is carved coral?

Would anyone have any idea of the maker or its age? I'm guessing the cameo is older and was maybe later put into the setting.

I will likely have a professional check it out and authenticate it. Would it be better to take it to a jewelry or an antiques dealer?

Thank you in advance!
